See what happens when your enemies gather

Psa 23:5 (NKJV)
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

Have you ever wondered how the gathering of your enemies pan out? In your quest to out-think or outsmart them as it were in prayers, you may have tried to imagine what happens in their gatherings; what they do or would be doing when they come together to plot against you. Well, if you have, wonder no more because our reference scripture clearly presents what eventually happens. The Psalmist reveals that God prepares a "table" for us in the presence of our enemies. That means, their gatherings eventually end up as your table-preparation gathering.

A "table" is symbolic of a meal or a feast. So, King David reveals that God Himself takes His time to cook us a meal in the company of our enemies. Now, if God prepares a meal, you can imagine what kind of meal it will be! Someone is probably salivating already. You can bet it's going to be the best meal ever!

Moreover, considering the nature of "enemies", they will not necessarily be handed invitations to the feast; they may have gathered themselves to do you harm. But, in the midst of their gathering, God will interrupt them, and then prepare you a wonderful feast. They will even constitute members of the labour force employed to prepare the meal.
Therefore, the Psalmist effectively reveals that when your enemies gather against you, God will turn it into a feast for you. When they come together to scheme against you, God will turn it into a party in your honour. When they assemble to plot your downfall, God will turn it into a banquet to celebrate and elevate you. This is such a glorious word that assures us that our enemies can't do us no harm. They can't defeat us, neither can they destroy us. Glory to God!

So, friends, do not worry when they gather. Do not even pray against them gathering. Let them gather because it will add to the fun of it and make the party all the more memorable. They will watch you feast and will not be able to do anything whatsoever about it. I mean, when you reminisce on the "attendance list" and remember who witnessed your celebration, you can't help but laugh the devil to scorn. So, when they gather, start rejoicing because a feast is being organized for you. They would be inadvertently planning a party for you. Oh, don't you just love how God turns things around for your good! Scripture says He causes all things to work out for our good (Rom 8:28). Glory to Jesus!

Moreover, the bible tells us they (your enemies) shall surely gather (Isa 54:15). This means you basically can't stop them from gathering. Come to think of it, why would you even want to stop a gathering that will ultimately translate into a feast designed for you? Besides, according to the Word of the Lord, the end product of their gathering is their downfall. So, when they gather, rejoice because they gather unto their downfall. And then God will prepare a feast for you to celebrate their defeat. Amen!

Furthermore, the bible also says that God disappoints the devices of the crafty (Job 5:12). That means they will come together to scheme and device your downfall, but God will hijack their plans and leave them disappointed. Their schemes, ideas, plans, strategies to defeat you, will become instruments in God's hands to elevate you.

Finally, our scriptural reference further states that God anoints your head with oil. The reason He does this is so that no harm can come to us, for He says "Do not touch My anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm" (Psa 105:15). That is why your enemies cannot succeed against you. When they attempt to 'touch' you, God applies His midas touch and turns it into a party for your merriment. So will it be in Jesus' name, Amen! God bless you.
