God can exceed your expectations

Acts 3:2-8 (NKJV)
And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms....Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”....and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.

Our reference tells the story of a man, lame from birth, who thought that the best thing he could get from anybody that came his way was alms (money); so, that was what he continually asked for. Now, he was positioned at the gate of the temple on a daily basis! One would have thought that his time there would have gotten him to a point where he would trust and ask God for what he really needed - to walk, so his life could become as beautiful or even more beautiful than the gate where he was positioned. From conjecture, we can say that as a consequence of being at the Beautiful gate on a daily basis, he would have heard people rejoicing inside the temple because of miracles that would have happened or people coming out of the temple speaking of the miracles that would have happened inside the temple. This never got him to a point where he would ask or expect to be healed and walk; he was OK asking for alms.
One day, he saw Peter and John walking by and as was customary to him, he asked for alms. Little did he know that he was going to get something a million times better. So, Peter asked for his full attention. He probably had never really looked at them. Maybe he always had his head down in shame and embarrassment, but that day was going to be the end. So, Peter literally said, "look past your circumstance unto us" and he did, with expectancy. And then Peter told him, today I haven't got what you ask, I have got what you really need; in the name of Jesus, walk and the man walked. He eventually got better than he asked and expected.
Friends, take your eyes of your circumstance because what you focus on grows. If you focus on your situation, you can't get your mind to comprehend something better than it. Look unto Jesus and do it with expectancy, He always has something much better for you. God can do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think (Eph 3: 30). He wants to meet and much more surpass our expectations. You can expect much better things henceforth, because there is no impossibility with God. Get your mind away from ordinary things unto much bigger and better things. If you can conceive it, God can create it and He sure will. God bless you.

Prayer:
Father, thank you for your mighty awesome power that is available to do much more than I ask or think. I believe and I receive that my expectations are abundantly exceeded. I decree that nothing is impossible to me in Jesus' name, Amen.
